Why is our blog about "saving the world"? In the end it is really about saving ourselves. And to that extent, if everyone took more issue at saving themselves rather than expecting to be saved, be it by a spouse, employer, parent, or government, we'd find that the world would as close to being saved as it could possibly get. Thomas Paine in Common Sense pressed the point that if men would just take care of their own lives there would be no need for government. Well...we are at least a couple hundred years too late for that idea in America, and about 50,000 years too late as mankind.
I'm sure in the near future we'll have plenty to say on this subject...I just don't understand what has happened to people where they no longer want to accept responsibility for their actions. It ranges from "bail me out" to "its not my fault"...wanting something for nothing; the Socialistic demand of "pay me now...and let my grandkids pay you back later." I've come to a simple conclusion, that people are paid what they are worth. I don't ever want to hear someone say they aren't being paid what they are worth. Worth has nothing to do with it, you are being paid for the job you are doing. If it is not enough, then shut-up and go get another job! YOU define your worth, not your employer. If YOU feel YOU are "worth" more, then seek out what and why you don't have the job or profession that you feel equals your "worth." Stop blaming someone else and make a change, but by all means, don't whine, complain, and expect more then you are willing to put into your own net worth.

Our First Post
Lizzie and I know nothing about blogging. We know nothing about Facebook. When it comes to anything to do with "social networking" all either one of us have is some limited experience on match.com. We met...we married. And in that molding of lives we found goals, life lessons, and our search that we have enjoyed sharing with each other over the few years we have started our lives together. We have no education or training in the things we will blog about...but since I do find occasional enjoyment in hearing myself talk, perhaps I'll enjoy reading my own writing. If not, I guess this blog will just disappear.
